Is golf fun or work? If it’s work, it’s probably not working for you. If you desire to have more fun and improve your overall game, let’s “work” together on the exciting journey to achieving your potential. As your friendly self-discovery tour guide, my job is to teach basic fundamentals upon which you can build and confidently refer to while playing or practicing. My “keep it simple” approach can help improve the swing and putting strokes of players of all ages, from beginners to scratch golfers. I believe setting you up for golfing success involves video review, checking if your clubs are properly fit to you, conducting a body type analysis, and discussing ways of overcoming any physical limitations. I’d enjoy the opportunity to help bring clarity to your golf game by designing a realistic, enjoyable improvement plan that meets your individual needs. Email Mug at .

I believe that there are no bad habits in golf. A habit is something we do every single day without thinking about it. Golfers are usually accused of "thinking too much" anyway, so this cannot be a habit. All of my students will be given the opportunity to re-train their body to learn proper fundamentals. This will allow for them to correct their faults. After every lesson, my students will be able to understand what their game is missing and which items need to be added. Together, we will come to a conclusion which eliminates negative feelings and promotes positive reinforcement. Through proper guidance and specific drills, each student will be able to FEEL the difference that is needed. Drills, aides, practice and coaching will guide each student to their desired goal. • Past PGA Class A Member & Head Professional at four renowned golf schools

Chuck's mission is to help his students feel confident and have fun in their golf outings. Due to injuries he doesn't compete much any more, but loves helping his students reach their golfing goals and potential. His tour and teaching experience have taught him that practice makes perfect is simply not true unless you do it right. Practicing the wrong way only grooves your bad habits and makes them permanent. If the best golfers in the world take video lessons, you should also! Video lessons and modern computer technology help his students see and understand that repeating the correct fundamental positions and motion of the golf swing over an extended period of time is the only way to change stubborn muscle memory. Chuck offers a free video tape, CD, or video email with each lesson, and senior and military discounts. Check out Chuck’s website at www.chuck-cpar72.com or email Chuck at cpar72@roadrunner.com.

Paul's philosophy is for you to understand and enjoy your golf swing, while at the same time improving it. No two swings are alike, and, through his years of experience, Paul has seen the difference in progress when the student can comprehend the good points of their swing as well as understand their specific areas of improvement. Once the mind and body are in-sync, the transition from the brain to the ball is united and has been proven to make swing improvements comprehensible and thus easier to achieve. Paul's website is a 24/7 comprehensive tool dedicated to improving your golf game with your unique swing. You can view your lesson frame-by-frame and listen to or view Paul's commentary and notes. You can also check out associated video drills that coincide with your lesson. • Former General Manager/Head Golf Professional at Mission Bay Golf Resort in San Diego
  • Creator of the revolutionary CUSTOM-FIT Swing Program

  • Played on WPGT, Futures, and Player's West Tours
If you want a traditional golf lesson, where you're shown a specific method of swinging, and you do your best to force your body to comply (regardless of how awkward or uncomfortable), I am NOT the right instructor for you. However, if you're ready for the FREEDOM and FUN of a wonderfully different approach, I'll show you how much easier it is to improve when you CUSTOM-FIT your golf swing. Instead of asking you to learn "someone else's" swing, I help you discover YOUR best swing - the easiest, most comfortable, and most powerful swing for YOUR body. Then, I show you how to consistently bring your best game to the course, and how to get REAL results and enjoyment from your practice. We'll cover both the mental and physical aspects of the game (as well as the emotional and spiritual if you are so inclined). To schedule a lesson, call the CGC Pro Shop, or e-mail CoachDori@CoachDoriGolf.com. Visit www.CoachDoriGolf.com to learn more.

   JOHN CLARK
PGA MEMBER
Independent Instructor

  • Over 35 years' experience in golf business
  • PGA Member since 1972: Life Member and Quarter-Century Member
  • Crystal Cruise Lines PGA Golf Instructor
  • San Diego Golf Academy, San Diego campus, Adjunct PGA Instructor
  • Previously held positions at variety of public and private golf clubs: General Manager, Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Asst. Golf Professional
  • Served his apprenticeship under the late Tony Novitsky at Columbine CC in Littleton, CO, host club of the 1968 PGA Championship
My objective, by teaching golfers to consistently make good golf shots, is to allow them to better enjoy the game because playing to one's full potential makes the game fun to play. The concept is for the golfer is to use as much of his or her own natural athleticism by promoting the proper set-up, alignment, ball position and posture. When the set-up is properly established, one's body weight can be transferred to a completed, full back-swing and one can freely swing through and past the ball to a full and balanced finish position. I prescribe proper swing development drills to enhance muscle memory, which positively contributes to a more natural golf swing. My students learn to develop good golf habits that are much harder to break than bad golf habits. The end result is a more proper, consistent and repeating golf swing. For more information on rates, availability or to schedule a lesson with John, please call him directly at: 760-434-9222 or email him at jandpclark@gmail.com. What Does It Mean to Be a PGA or LPGA professional?

At CGC we are proud to have several staff members and independent instructors who have earned or are working toward certification and membership in the PGA and/or LPGA. Our facility team is unique in having three professionals who are long-standing members of both the PGA & LPGA: Kathy Wake, Sheri Hayes and CGC owner Susan Roll.

Members of these professional organizations are the keepers of the game, as they bring the joy of golf to people of all ages. They commit themselves to years of ongoing education in all aspects of the game and the industry, with particular areas of specialty such as teaching.

We encourage our team members to obtain the comprehensive and broad-based golf education available through these organizations to grow their personal knowledge base and better serve our customers.

Many members of our team have been honored by their peers with a variety of PGA and LPGA awards: Click here for list of awards.

The Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) was founded in 1916 and has approximately 28,000 men and women members. PGA Professionals are expert instructors, skilled businesspersons and community leaders comprising the largest sports organization in the world. They are uniquely qualified to teach the game and conduct the business of golf. Members have completed years of extensive education and passed tests about their knowledge in different aspects of the golf business. Apprentices are in the education and certification process. All members and apprentices must pass a Player Ability Test, illustrating their command of the game of golf. The PGA Tour is a specific part of the PGA and some members may have played competitively while others did not.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) was founded in 1956 and has approximately 1,700 total members worldwide, including 1,100 members in the Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) division of this all-women’s organization. LPGA T&CP members serve throughout the golf industry as in a variety of leadership positions and the T&CP is primarily renowned for its world-class, one-of-a-kind teacher education certification. The LPGA provides professional certification through a series of educational and evaluation programs to ensure the high quality of professional skills of its members. The multi-year process features three levels of classification, beginning as an Apprentice and culminating with a Class A credential. All members and apprentices must pass a Player Ability Test, illustrating their command of the game of golf. The LPGA Tour is a specific part of the LPGA organization and some T&CP members may have played competitively while others did not.

The PGA Champions Tour seeks to be the most approachable, accessible and fan-friendly arena, not only in golf, but in all of sports. Formerly the Senior PGA Tour, the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) Champions Tour membership includes World Golf Hall of Fame members and PGA Class A members dedicated to combining extremely competitive golf for champions of the game age 50 and older with a fan-friendly platform that promotes inside-the-ropes and world-wide game improvement teaching expertise for its fans. Its core values include honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and having an appreciation and respect for the Game while making a positive contribution to society. Over 22 PGA Champions Tour events air on the Golf Channel and charitable donations from the Champions tour average $10 million per year. Champions Tour Associate members include current or former exempt members of the PGA TOUR, former exempt members of the Champions Tour and PGA Class A members over age 50. Champions Tour associate members may or may not have completed the PGA education certification.

Body Balance for Performance Certified Professional means an instructor has taken an extensive course to learn about how a golfer’s physical state affects their swing and performance capabilities. Teaching professionals studied under Body Balance’s team of golf fitness experts to test a student’s range of motion and recommend ways to improve their golf performance by improving their physical state through stretches and exercises.
